    Marquell Beckwith

    Beckwith Sports Academy is owned and operated by Marquell Beckwith.

    Marquell was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. He fell in love with the game of football at an early age. He started playing when he was only six years old. He attended Lee High School where he was an all-state running back and track runner. 

    Following an incredible high school career, Marquell went on to play Division 1 football at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. After being a member of the Trojans for three years, he suffered a season ending knee injury (ACL) in fall camp of his junior year and had to redshirt that season.

    Marquell earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in the Spring of 2016 and decided to transfer. Marquell attended Alabama State University in his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama as a grad transfer. 

    After one season with the Hornets, he forgo his last year in college and entered the 2017 NFL draft. He had a stint with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent.

    Marquell also has professional experience in two start up leagues , the AAF as well as the XFL. Once the XFL shut down in 2020 because of covid-19, Marquell decided to use his knowledge and experience to start up BSA to help athletes become complete running backs . 

    Beckwith Sports Academy has a focus of training, developing, and mentoring running backs. Coach Beckwith specializes in enhancing running back’s performance through the execution of position drills. His program has quickly grown into one of the best running back training programs in Atlanta, Georgia by providing in-depth understanding of the position.

    This training provides athletes with the tools to become a complete running back. Coach Beckwith’s system is a total training package that covers all phases of the game and delivers results. Marquell is very committed to helping others achieve their goals within the position. The athletes look to Marquell not only as a coach but as a mentor as well.
